Congratulations!!!

Congrats to Kelly for winning the 'Best Pop Video' and 'Best Female Video' at the VMAs. I'll be updating more on the VMAs when I return from hiatus in November. Glad to also announce Kelly's victory at Number 1 in Singapore's Power 98 Radio Station.

I've uploaded the new layout and I have to say that it totally roxs!! I hope you guys like it...I'll be gone from 12th June 2005 - 18th June 2005 so there will not be any updates for less than a week. Also, I found a scan of a review of Breakaway album by a secondary student in Singapore published in a renowned paper, The Sunday Times. Check it out.

Latest News: Kelly's Dateline appearance has been scheduled for tonight at 8pm EST on NBC.

Perfect 10 Top 20
Kelly's Behind These Hazel Eyes is racing up the Perfect 10 Top 20 Charts. The song is one of the two "Hot Picks" of the Week on the charts of the most-heard English radio station in Singapore. Way to go! I'll keep the site updated of her progress up the charts in the following weeks.

Html crisis
In case you missed it, the entire site crashed at 1:00pm on 1st June 2005 due to some server problems encountered at Tinypic.com. Thankfully, I managed to restore the site and thus updating the news bulletin. Hence, I need your opinions and views of the site, on whether there are errors or crashed pics lurking in this site, to be posted on the comment box below of tag-board. We know we've been really obscure of site plans and loads of media. I really do have loads and loads of media on hold. It's just that I'd need a server to carry those media. I'm planning of working with other webmasters to make the site a more pleasurable haven.

Hello Kelly fans,

It's been a while since I've left the weblog community but now I'm back with full force. This site will be a site gathering Kelly Clarkson fans here in SIngapore and connect to the USA. I will be posting news and more news pertaining to the talented rocker as well as American Idol news and other stuff as well, such as movies and best reads. It's gonna be awesome!
Downside though, I just set up the infra of this site and would need time to collate information and content into it. Thus, I seek your understanding in this matter.

Fade in on a haunted cathedral that looks like it was scorched by a tornado. Broken, silenced remains of a wedding, webbed over the scene like fading memory. Kelly sits, dressed as herself. The cathedral is a magical backdrop against her unique style. Here, she is photographed. Beautifully. We cross cut this against her performing in a tattered wedding dress. Elsewhere, deep in the forest, Kelly performs with her band. But the forest is magically rendered, studio built, like the technicolour films that inspired Tim Burton. An expressionist, hollywood soundstage of curving sinister trees perfectly lit in it's stylistically artificial glory the backdrop is an old painted rendering of the forest, that could have been used in and old Universal horror film. Almost real, but aesthetically surreal. Here she performs with a guitar under moonlight as leaves and wind cascade. Meanwhile, we flashback to her memories, which shock the image with a completely different aesthetic. This video is shot like a fairy tale gone bad, crashing against the fading memory of old, weathering film clips. It is a blend of two looks: one of a pristine world, almost perfectly artificial, like an old hollywood movie in technicolor. The world of forest, but rendered magically in-doors, under studio lighting; Tim Burtonesque. We can actually see the set itself:metal stands holding the trees up. A snaking cable on the group, hand woven ropes. Reality holding on by a thread. The other is like a degraded super-8 movie, handheld, with dirt and grime slipping through the sprockets onto the very image itself. More real than real. It is an explosive juxtaposition of styles, following the arching rhythms of the song. In her memories we begin at the start. The day of the wedding, as her friends circle around going through the battle of the wedding: picking the boquet, preparing the walk, setting the headdress...all photographed in the blurry grain of a memory. And in the memory, it begins to rain. Her friends rush to close the windows as the ominous sign batters the church. At this point Kelly notices a card she was reading no longer has her name on it. A picture of her and her fiance has changed, with another girl taking her place. In the room, her friends have disappeared. At the end of the bridge during the big "anymore" part, Kelly bursts into the wedding where another girl is marrying her fiance. Kelly is dressed in her normal clothes, while someone else in the wedding dress. No on notices Kelly as she walks the aisle. Slowly, the image goes from grainy super 8 to a hyper-real fairy tale style. The scratched film fades, the image sharpens, the colors bloom. As the girl and the fiance kiss, Kelly runs into the forest. This scene is shot with picturersque style, like an old expressionist movie from the 1930's. Suddenly we intercut Kelly running in her wedding dress, and her normal clothes. Rear projection cascades behind her as tree branches shred her wedding dress. It is both a solid vision of atic fused with emotion and art. She falls into a puddle at the lowest point of the video, this beautiful girl embracing the mud and rain in her tattered dress. Her hazel eyes haunt you from behind the dirt. She walks into the clearing, finally joining herself at the band. The singing Kelly wipes tears from the other. As this happens, we see kelly back at the wedding, about to say "I do", but she tosses the ring. The entire cathedral reacts horrified. But there is a sense of strength in Kelly, as she makes eye contact with the girl who was in the wedding dress in her vision. She is sitting in the audience...(intercut the groom and her kissing in a flashback)...the mistress...and Kelly runs out of the cathedral, knocking over decorations on the way. She is happy, free, and strong. She bursts out of the door into a haze of white. And the image faded back to super 8, burning away like a faint, temporary memory.
